MACR 6264

Hate to ask, as I do not subscribe to online MACRs. Does anyone have additional info on this MACR. B-24 448th BG 712th BS lost Jun 21, 1944.

Hello Tony,

MACR 6264
Some 50 + pages.
21st June 1944
8th AAF
448th Bomber Group
712th Bomber Squadron
A/C B-24H
Serial No: 42-95186

Crew of nine (seems Germans thought ten ).
Two, Pilot and Navigator evaded.
All crew bailed out.
One crewman's Chute did not open, fractured skull, hospitalised in Schwerin.
Three crewmen captured in the district of Schnberg.
Four crewmen captured in the district of Schwerin.
Six crewmen shot while "escaping"
A/c made a pilotless emergency landing due to damage caused to two engines. 80% damage, no crash fire.
Salvaged by Schwerin.
