Franz Sunke, possibly. And "Feber" means "Februar" (February).

More "Sanke" ... the "u" had the little curve (see "Rudolf" or "Freunde").

Good evening !

How would you like this:

"Meinem alten Freunde Rudolf Olliger zur steten Erinnerung
Franz Funke
Prenzlau. 2. Februar 1941"

(To my old friend Franz Funke for steady recollection)

Re: Identity Of Luftwaffe Crewman - translation?

He wrote the "e" allways in Sytterlin, therefore I would identify his name as "Franz Henke"

Re: Identity Of Luftwaffe Crewman - translation?

Pure Sütterlin - with sloppy "e" and "a".
Names are "Alliger" and "Hanke". He writes "Feber" for "Februar" - a common designation for February in Austria.

Regards

Roland
