What does 'QBI' mean?
Hi all
I am translating a Luftwaffe war correspondent's article covering attacks on British shipping around the coast of England and have encountered the abbreviation of ''QBI' in the Staffel ready room' - does anyone know what it means? Thanks for the help.

Re: What does 'QBI' mean?
I'm not sure it's an abbreviation, but it refers to atrocious weather, i.e., too 'dirty' to fly in.

Re: What does 'QBI' mean?
Thanks GRM
The correspondent goes on to describe the fact there are 4 hours of cigarette smoke accumulated in the ready room so that explains why the atmosphere in there is maybe 'foggy'. He puts QBI in inverted commas. Thanks for the help.

Re: What does 'QBI' mean?
On Wikipedia search for "Q code", QBI is one of standard set of aviation reporting codes so there is an "official" definition of the term.
