III. Kampfgeschwader 100 "Viking" - Feldwebel Wiechert
Hello,
does anyone have the book from Mr. Balke or other sources to check if there was a Feldwebel Alfred Wiechert at "3. Kampfgeschwader 100 Wiking" in Jan/1944. Maybe he was captured by the russians, because that's what the family told me. But I'm not sure about that. The WASt did not have a Soldbuch or Wehrstammbuch, they only know about him and that he was part of III KG 100 in Jan. 1944. Thank's in advance for your help. Best regards Last edited by Ricalka; 25th May 2015 at 10:58. |

Re: III. Kampfgeschwader 100 "Viking" - Feldwebel Wiechert
Balke's Kampfgeschwader 100 "Wiking" does not have a name index, and the personnel losses are limited to the flight crews. Perhaps your man was with the ground element of this unit? I looked through the losses, but no Fw. Alfred Wiechert, the closest being Bordfunker Gefr. Hermann Weckert, 10./KG 100, killed in a flying accident 26.Dec. 1943 with Uffz. Alois Zieghaus' crew.
Good luck in your search, GRM |

Re: III. Kampfgeschwader 100 "Viking" - Feldwebel Wiechert
Hello, anyone who has an idea where I can find more about the personal from KG100? Why is the soldbuch not at WASt - didn´t they store everything or could it be lost - would be intersting to know.
Thank you. |
