Luftwaffe nightfighter loss 18th Feb 1943?
Hello everyone
I have a combat report from February 18th 1943, from Halifax II (Z Type) HR692 ZA-R of 10 Sqn in which the rear gunner describes repelling an attack from a Luftwaffe Me-110, which then appeared to explode and fall in pieces into the sea. Time is given as 20.25 hours, position is 53.50º N, 07.49º E, altitude 11,000 feet. The lat and long give a postion about 15km NE of Emden, and about 10km from the North Sea coast. Is it possible to find an associated German loss for this report? Many thanks. Regards Simon |
