Bazi Weiss wounded in 1944 - Luftwaffe and Allied Air Forces Discussion Forum

This photograph shows Oberleutnant/Hauptmann? Robert Weiss in 1944. He appears to be wounded. Can anyone tell me when this was. Weiss received the RK in March 1944 therefore this appears to date from his period as leader of 10 staffel or as a member of the staff of III/JG54.

The same picture appears in " Die Grunherz Jager:Bildchronik des JG54' By Held/Trauloft/Bob.

The caption is :Hptm Weiss with two successful Pilots at the Airfield Villa-Coublay South.

That would make it sometime between June and September 1944 and the arm wound (if that's what it is) seems to be mending if he is with his unit.
