Ju-88 LI+GH

Hi all ,

During the night off 26/27 december 1944 a JU-88 from I./LG 1 was shot down by Flak near Liége Belgium.
Is there someone who has some additional info on this event ?

The LG1 history gives the aircraft as Ju88 S-3 L1+GH 331287 with crew Lt Walter Schmidt missing (still?), B Ogef Eberhardt Wachter (umlaut over a) Pow, Bf Ogef Heinz Maslowski Pow, Bs Gef Karl Dietzhoff Pow.
The 'K' report states hit in the starboard engine and wing by AA fire, bombs ( 18x 50kg anti peronnel bombs and 2x AB 250 containers of SD2s ) were jettisoned . Pilot took evasive action but wing caught fire and the B,Bf and Bs baled out 6 miles SSW of Liege they did not see the aircraft crash. Crew had joined I/LG1 at Melsbroek from IV/LG1 at Wiener-Neustadt in August 1944,
