Bf 109 E, W.Nr. 3805 or 3885

Gentlemen,

Do you happen to have any information on Bf 109 E "White 7" W.Nr. 3805 (Paul Stipdonk and Michael Meyer, Das Jagdgeschwader 51 Mölders, page 210), and Bf 109 E-1 "White 7" W.Nr. 109 3885 (Prien, Stemmer and others JFV 4/II, page 84-85)? Both aircraft were reported to have been flown by Fw. Werner Bielefeldt of 7./JG 51 in the autumn of 1940.

Here's what we have, besides the Bielefeldt connection you mentioned:

Bf 109E-7 WNr.3805 of 3./JG 27, Gefr. Hermann Köhne WIA 1.May 1941 in Luftkampf with Hurricanes. Bauchlandung south of Tobruk, 20% damage.

Bf 109E-7 WNr.3805 of 1./JG 27 coded “weiße 7” Oblt. Ludwig Franzisket, transit flight 28.Oct. 1941 from Ain el Gazala to Fl.Pl. Tatoi.

Bf 109E-7 WNr.3805 of Erg.St./NAGr. 3, Ogefr. Wolfgang Wollmann killed 13.April 1943, airplane burned after landing, Fl.Pl. Eleusis.

Bf 109E-7 WNr.3885 of 1.Erg./JG 3, Notlandung 29.Sept. 1941 near Groningen due to fuel shortage, 20% damaged.

Bf 109E-7 WNr.3885 of the Ld.Kdo.Finnland, overturned during landing 21-Feb-1944 at Fl.Pl. Rovaniemi, 50% damaged.

Hope this helps, GRM

Hello Sinisa,

Re: Bf 109 E, W.Nr. 3805 or 3885

Post No.2: GRM, thank you for your prompt and exhaustive reply, which was highly valued.

Post No.3: Hello Franck, in Stipdonk and Meyer there is no photo of the said aircraft (i.e., "White 7" of 7./JG 51) showing the W.Nr.

Regards,
Sinisa
