France, May 21. 1940

Good evening!
Once again i am asking for Your help.
This time, the matter concerns Feldwebel Josef Fuchssteiner, who were member of a Fliegerstaffel. He fell this day....
I can't find him in any of my sources.
I am looking for informations concerning him. Was he flying and if so, what A/C, codes, Wnr. and so on.
Thank You in advance
Christian

Hi Christian,
I checked the loss reports, unfortunately non commissioned officers were not listed by name during 1940. They are only listed as Besatzungsmitglieder.

Sorry,

Norbert

Re: France, May 21. 1940

A Feldwebel Josef Fuchssteiner who died on 21 May 1940 is listed by the Volskbund site and is buried in Köln.

It may have fallen elsewhere and have been rebuired there at family demand, but most of the German soldiers buried in Germany died here. So he may have died in an accident here, of have been wounded and died in hopsital or died on the ground from accidental or natural cause.
