Re: 4./KG51 loss

Info I have is 25-7-1944 Ff Walter Brugel Bf Uffz Rudolf Sperlich both missing in Me410 B-2 9K+GM 470136 of 4/KG51 from intruder mission to Region C. This is from a list I was given a while ago I do not have an NVM so I do not know which is correct the 25th or the 27th,

Re: 4./KG51 loss

Was this the claim for a Me410 at Knokke on the 25/26th which fell to S/L Martin with F/O Smith of 515 Sqd, possibly the body of Breugel was recovered on the 27th ?

Re: 4./KG51 loss

Hello Alain,

From this Imperial War Museum site:

http://www.iwm.org.uk/collections/it...ect/1060030754

"Combat Film No. 8111. Squadron Leader Martin of 515 Squadron on 26/7/1944 at 0345, flying DeHavilland Mosquito. Target Messerschmitt Me 410. Air Defense of Great Britain."

I hope this helps with the time and date.
