Fw 190 D-9 eBay photo: Fürth?
Hello,
I believe this photo of a Focke Wulf Fw 190 D-9 (offered by me) was taken at Fürth and shows Fw 190 D-9 Blue 12 W.Nr 500570 of II./JG 6, but I am not sure as the tactical code nor serial number is visible. Can anyone confirm that this D-9 was captured at Fürth? http://www.ebay.com/itm/131642358545...84.m1558.l2649 Thanks, Roger |

Re: Fw 190 D-9 eBay photo: Fürth?
I think that it is Focke-Wulf-built aircraft because of the style of the underwing crosses, so W.Nr 500570 can be ruled out! A possible candidate might be “Chevron Dot” of Stab II./JG 6, which also surrendered at Fürth.

Re: Fw 190 D-9 eBay photo: Fürth?
It is definitely not W.Nr. 500570! As Schlageter says, the under wing crosses don't match 500570, if it is from Fürth it must be W.Nr. 211934.
This photo is used on page 165 in JaPo Focke-Wulf Fw 190D, camouflage and markings Part 1. |
