BoB query
Lt. Erwin Agner, Born: 30.09.1913 at Nellingen. Missing in action on 03.09.1940, in the sea 8Km off Ramsgate.
Does anyone know the unit and aircraft for this airman? Interestingly, the only other Agner I have on record is: Fw. Erwin Agner, who went missing 2 days later on 05.09.1940. He was aboard a He111H, A1+CR (3338) of 7/KG53, which crashed in the sea off the Nore.

The personal details you quote 'Lt Erwin AGNER, Born: 30.09.1913 at Nellingen. Missing in action on 03.09.1940' are actually those of Fw Erwin AGNER of 7./KG53 who, as you say, went missing on 5 September 1940. You have a duplication in your records.

Hi Chris, Lt Erwin Agner is on record at the Volksbund Deutsche Kriegsgräberfürsorge.
For the past 40 odd years I have been locating the graves of all Luftwaffe airmen who died between 01.06.1940 - 01.06.1941. I have spent a lot of time visiting the graves not only in the UK, but all over Europe as well. I came across the name of Lt. Agner, and was interested because he died during the Battle of Britain only 8Km off Ramsgate.
