Wüstennotstaffel in Jet & Prop and a question to Andrew
Hello Gentleman, hello Andrew.
today i received my copy of Jet & Prop (1/16) wich i have a subscription for. Doing a quick-scan through the pages i found an article called "Wüstennotstaffel" by Andrew Arthy & Adam Thompson. You guessed it: Its the e-article from Air War Publications. O.k., it comes minus the maps and the artwork of the e-article and maybe it´s a couple of words less, but no doubt it´s the same article. Don´t get me wrong, i am happy the excellent stuff of Air War Publ. is available in my mothertounge too, but i already have bought the e-article from them. So my question to You Andrew is; will this be common practice ?? I think You understand that in this case i will stop buying Your great e-articles. Please recognise that there is absolutely no offense intended. I am a great fan of Your work and can´t wait for the book´s You announce on Your web-site. But i think You will understand my point of view too. Schoene Gruesze Norbert |

Re: Wüstennotstaffel in Jet & Prop and a question to Andrew
Hi Norbert,
Thanks for the question, which is entirely reasonable. Certainly no offence taken. This won't be a common practise. In fact, aside from the Wüstennotstaffel article appearing in Jet & Prop and Aérojournal, the only other eArticle that will appear in an aviation magazine is 'Christmas in Courland', a somewhat revised edition of which will appear soon in Aérojournal. The main reason for the Wüstennotstaffel article appearing in German is because Adam and I wanted it available to Gustav Kroseberg's family in their native language, something they are very appreciative of. With regards to the eArticles, there will be two releases this month, and more in coming months. And rest assured, none of them will be appearing elsewhere! Finally, thanks for the nice words about our publications. I've got a few weeks off work, so it's full steam ahead with Air War Courland. After fifteen years of research, it's probably time to get it finished ... All the best, Andrew A. Air War Publications - www.airwarpublications.com |
