Did Stab/St.G. 2 really use the Me110?
A wreck was found recently that according to the WAST was an aircraft from Stab St.G.2.
The interesting thing, is that is an Me110 wreck. According to Michael Holm's amazing website (ww2.dk)... Stabsstaffel/St.G.2 was formed 20.8.40, but was disbanded 8.42, and used mainly Do 17P, Bf 110D and Ju 87B/D. This aircraft loss was on March 10, 1943. The thing is...Michael's website shows Stab/St.G.2 with bases up to October 1943...with no info of any of the bases having the Me110...so that contradicts it being disbanded in 1942... Can anyone give me some clarification here? TIA Mike
