General Kammhuber?

Identified as General Kammhuber arriving at Gilze-Rijen sometime in 1941. Can anyone confirm?

Re: General Kammhuber?

Hi Chuck,

Not like I knew him personally LOL but I would say that the man in the photo leaving the aircraft certainly does look like Kammhuber. Just my 2 bob's worth.

Nick

Re: General Kammhuber?

I would say it is hard to confirm with any degree of certainty as it looks like a number of other senior officers as well. Anything on the reverse of the photo to give a clue?

Re: General Kammhuber?

Hi Chuck,

Yes it's Kammhuber arriving at Gilze-Rijen on the occasion of the RK award for Wilhelm Beier. (In the NJWD 2nd ed. I will publish a nice previously unpublished series of photos taken during the occasion).

Cheers, Theo
