Stab II/KG76, 24.08.1940

24th August 1940:

Stab II/KG76.
Junkers Ju88A ( ). Sortie to Manston airfield. Shot down in combat with RAF fighters over Manston and crashed in the sea. Oblt. Karl Schulte (F) killed(washed ashore 6.9.40), Major Friedrich Möricke (B, Gruppe Kommandeur) killed. Sdfhr. Wagner (of Lw.Kr.Ber.Kp.4) and 1 NCO missing. Aircraft lost.

Can anyone help with the first name of Sdfhr. Wagner and the name of the NCO missing?

First name of Bleeck-Wagner is Erwin, not Elwin.

Re: Stab II/KG76, 24.08.1940

I have just found a:
Lt. Erwin Bleeck, born 22.02.1914, died 18.09.1940, buried at Ysselsteyn Cemetery, Netherlands, Block BB, Reihe 4, Grab 84.
Is this the same man?
