Dr. E. T. Rulison history of 51st Evacuation Hospital in WW II
Dear All,
About 8 years ago Dr. E. T. Rulison loaned to me 3 color slides of Me 262's, 2 of them showing Me 262, W.Nr. 111755, taken at Kuno I. Apparently, he wrote up his personal history of being with the 51st Evacuation Hospital on the Rogue Publishing website which might well have contained some helpful referencing information for these 3 photos. While Rogue Publishing still has a website, no amount of searching on my part has been able to come up with Ted's article. At the time, it could be found at http://rogue-publishing.com/51st/rulison/VE_day.htm. Is it possible that one of you have saved this article and would be willing to share it with me? Regards, Richard |

Richard,
Google "Wayback machine" and put in the rogue website address you have, and see what it comes up with. Enjoy! Frank.

Re: Dr. E. T. Rulison history of 51st Evacuation Hospital in WW II
Dear Frank and RSwank,
Frank, I tried your approach, but didn't get anything. RSwank, your approach brought up the article. Thank you very much. Alas, there was little to be learned regarding the photos. If I recall correctly, Rulison was a dentist, but it appears that I never wrote down this fact. The website suggests that the visit to Kuno I was made after the 51st settled in at Welzheim, meaning that the photos were likely taken in May or June 1945. There is a second photo of W.Nr. 111755 showing a dismantled Me 262 in the background in front of the final assembly building. When captured, there had been 2 assembled Me 262's standing just outside of the building. If anyone has any further information, I welcome your input. Regards, Richard |
