Tortorella airfield
Hi all,
Does anyone know if the USAF or the RAF intelligence officers made a list of the Junkers Ju88 that were found abandoned on Tortorella airfield, near Foggia, Italy in 1943? Thanks in advance, Rudi. |

Re: Tortorella airfield
From memory all the lists of abandoned aircraft use Allied designations for the airfields in the Foggia complex, e.g. "Foggia No. 3", so unless you know which was Tortorella you have a problem in identifying the right one.

Re: Tortorella airfield
According to Henry L. deZeng's info on Michael Holms' website ww2.dk, Tortorella was know as Foggia Satellite No. 2.
Regards, Rudi. |
