B - 17 44- 6640 please for help experts
Because the aircraft deal only marginally and the need to handle the case, which I know from witnesses, please help here on the forum. Last year I located the impact site of one engine of the aircraft. The case I have several questions.
If someone is willing to help, I will be grateful and it also helps to educate, it is the expertise and hard to handle. Does anyone know where the aircraft dropped bombs? (Hit by flak was allegedly close Brüx.) What is the smallest possible height for leaving bomber parachute? ALCLAD - what exactly had composed? Can someone advice both could look disintegration of parts of the airplane by scattering debris? (It is a question, at what height the plane ripped.) Can I send sketch impact debris. Thank you for your help. MT |

ALCLAD
From Wikipedia "Alclad is a heat-treated aluminum, copper, manganese, magnesium alloy that has the corrosion resistance of pure metal at the surface and the strength of the strong alloy underneath." |

Not lastly because I'm looking into minimum drop altitude for type of parachute, but there is this website http://www.leteckabadatelna.cz/havar...ly/detail/365/
which give a lot of detail. Regards Vince... |

![]() Thank you for the link, Vince.
From this information, and processing unfortunately I will not be based, case processing itself based on eyewitnesses described scattering debris and subsequent confirmation of what I saw at the crash site. That's why I put the question here. |

What I found interesting on that site was the picture of the copy of the missing aircrew report from Fold 3. It listed the serial numbers of the engines and weapons. Since you found one of the engines you could use that information as verification of the B-17 which crashed.
I don't have a premium subscription to Fold 3 so I can see the larger picture of the report. I'm looking into some USAAF parachute manuals to see what the minimum height for bail out would be and let you know. |

![]() Vince, thank you. Yes, it would mostly be an advantage. The case was a little rotated in reverse, from the start I was looking for the latest engine, which was believed to be missing was never found. It turns out that the truth had witnesses - witnesses of the accident.
Witnesses had from the plane very interesting determining souvenirs. If you found something about the possibilities of a jump with a parachute, I'll be very happy. |
