Hello,

I just want to ask if I have understood this correctly..

5 Luftkreis V (HQ Munich)
3 Third Geschwader in the Luftkreis
N A/C N within the Staffel
1 I. Gruppe
1 1. Staffel

I have followed K. Merricks directions and hope I did it right.

I have a photo of a Ju 52 with this marking and also hope that someone can tell me what this unit was renamed later.

This type of code was introduced 1st of June 1936 and was in use untill July 1939.

Code 53 was used by KG 155.
I./KG155 was formed April 1st 1936.
February 1st 1938 it was renamed I./KG158 (not sure which code it used then).
A new I./KG155 was formed by redesignating I./KG254 on November 1st 1938.
On May 1st 1939 it was renamed into I./KG55 still using code 53 untill early July 1939 when the code G1 was applied.
