B-24 42-51??2 467th BG?
Hello,
I have a photo of a B-24 that had an accident most likely somewhere in Germany in 1945. Based on the tail marking I assume it was an aircraft of the 467th BG? On the original photo, I can read the following digits of the aircraft's serial number: 42-51??2 I have been trying to compare this number with B-24 serial number lists that I found online, but could not find a match (i.e. unit, accident, number). Can anybody help identify this machine and where the accident happened? Thank you. Regards, Roger ![]() |
