KG 51 targets 22.06.1941?

Are known all targets of this unit in first day of war against USSR?

The first targets included the following airfields:
Stryj, Stryjski, Buschow II, Tremblowla, Buczacz, Chodorow and Lisietztsche.

Hope this helps,

Norbert

Thanks!

Many thanks!
As known, KG 51 lost 15Ju88 that day, but places of falls are unknown for the majority of them. It could be northern Bessarabia?

Hello Karlenko,

Northern Bessarabia seems to be unlikely since the above targets are in the Lvov area and the base of KG 51 during the first days of Operation Barbarossa was Krosno in south-eastern Poland.

Hope this helps,

Ota

From other side, soviet pilots claimed several planes over northern Bessarabia. Moreover, two GERMAN pilots (crewmens) were taken POW's. However, not known any KG27 losses that day...
