Losses over Germany 21.10.1943
Hi all !
I have a short eyewitness account contained in a private letter from 22.10.1943 stating "the evening before [so crash date should be 21.10.1943] we saw an aircraft (bomber?) attacked by a night fighter" "we saw then a big crash flame in the south" Hamm-Herringen (Ruhr-Area) in Germany was the place where the observer watched this scenario. Since there are no fitting USAAF losses (MACR database) for 21.10.1943: Has anybody info whether a RAF aircraft crashed south to the city of Hamm/Germany on that date? Or maybe even it was a Luftwaffe aircraft that crashed? Thanks and bye, FrankieS |
