Re: JG 52 Historian ?

Hi Joe

Don't exactly understand your request. I know there is a JG3 historical club, but didn't know about JG52, however they did used to have reunions, but as there are no pilots left to reunite I am not sure if it's still alive. However the greatest authority on JG52 is Bernd Barbas who has published several books about JG52 and other biographies about JG52 pilots. I know Bernd attended just about all the reunions, just before Obleser's death Bernd presented him with an abschusselist as Obleser knew nothing as the Americans stole his flugbuch, got some photos of the presentation. Also Bernd met almost all the JG52 aces.

I can ask Bernd if he's willing to be contacted, what exactly are you interested in?

Kind Regards

Johannes
