P-40s to Russia 1941
Hi guys
The first 50 crated P-40s arrived in Russia in late August/early September 1941, together with a US erection party and presumably US flight-testing pilots. A Captain Thomas and a 2/Lt Cook have been mentioned, but in what capacity I don't know. I'm sure one of our American experts will know more, please! Cheers Brian |

Re: P-40s to Russia 1941
Two other names associated with the program were Lt Hubert Zemke and Lt John R Alison.
Search for Zemke on this link: https://lend-lease.net/articles-en/p...ery-in-russia/ Scroll up a page for another brief mention of Zemke and Alison and the P-40s in Russia. https://books.google.com/books?id=fd...0lease&f=false |
