Kurt Schiebeler
Hi Guys
Kurt Schiebeler was born in 1920. We gave him a honorary mention in our publication because on his association with the Me163 rocket....only had three confirmed claims. His flugbuch reveals another two claims O.Z(without witness) on 27th August 1943. His combat career in Russia was brief, but he mentions a few claims of comrades including Otto Kittel. His involvement with the Me163 starts in 1943, and he eventually makes some fifty-nine flights with this "death-trap", but it appears that he survived the war. Question I have is does anybody know his subsequent fate? Seems that if he was lucky enough to survive the Me163, (and I would be surprised if anybody else flew as many Me163 flights) could he still be alive? or can somebody kindly enlighten me with the date of his death. Keep well Johannes |
