Identification - Little gear (Fw 190, Bf 109)

Dear Friends

Can anyone help with identifying this little gear ? A friend claims that it may be an element from the rifle synchronizer from the Fw 190 or Bf 109. Anyone can advise something?

Regards
Janusz

Re: Identification - Little gear (Fw 190, Bf 109)

Hello

My two pennies on the subjet

Graduated from 670 to 790 : the numbers can refer to atmospheric pressure, in mm Hg. So that could be the dial of the setting mechanism of an altimeter (the outside toots gearing with the setting knob).

From his look, the part is probably not WW2 German (the numbers are in millibars on German instruments), but definitively continental and older. I've found no match with French altimeters (Aera, Jules Richard...), I will look further.

Jean you have right )
This gear is from soviet barometric altimeter. The question is from which type of plane is this device.

Please look below:

Hello

Here a drawing from a Russian aircraft instruments book from 1946. The precise designation of the altimeter is not given... and my mastering of the language has a very big room for improvement !

100% for an altimeter...

The German one is almost identical...but goes higher in number.
