Re: crash location of 158 Squadron Halifax NR233 (lost 17-18.12.1944) at Braibant?
Hello Theo,
In fact NR233 crashed at Loupoigne (entity of Genappe, East of Nivelles) near the Ferme du Hazoy where it crash-landed with 3 casualties. It took place in Brabant province, so easily confused with Braibant (Province of Namur). That's exactly my area so I know it fairly well. Enclosed is an extract of 104 Staging Post based at B.75 (Nivelles) which provided a ceremony det at the burial (where ? In Genappe?). Best regards ClinA-78 |
