Dornier 17P of 1.(F)/22 lost on 20 may 1940
Hi,
On 20 may 1940 the Dornier 17P of 1.(F)/22 shot down by Curtiss H75 of GC II/5 in the south east of Toul. BofT&N gives three names : Fw M.Hecker, Fw F.Wagner and Obergefr A. Ritte captured unhurt. But french archives of GC II/5 give three names off from the a/c and one of them died at 30 meters of the Dornier. Does anybody know who is died during this loss ? Thanks in advance Bertrand |

Place Crepy, 4N+GH, all KG. Source GQM (#1-1, Nachtr 29.5.40, 44a); Cornwell, BoF, s.335 via Michael Balss.
I think I have one copy of GQM, I can check if you want. Regards, Franck. |
