Exclamation Crash Uffz Wenzlik Karl 2./JG3 in France or Belgium

Hello ,

On december 31 1943 Bf-019 G-6 Wnr-410690 from 2./JG3 flown by Uffz Wenzlik Karl crashed. As crashsite i have Phillipville in Belgium and Rocoi inFrance.Wenzlik is buried at Noyers-Pont Maugis 8/3/380. Can we assume that Rocroi is the crashsite ?

Regards

Alain,

Rocroi, not Philippeville. See Fw. Wolfram Becker issue.

Hello Alain,

the crash date of Uffz Wenzlik was 30 Dec 1943. There was no mission of I./JG 3 on 31 Dec 1943.

The death card on fold3 (https://www.fold3.com/image/699243613?terms=wenzlik) has "Rocroi bei Charleville" as death place and 30 Dec 1943 as death date.
