Any information on E'Kommando 25?

Hi,

Erprobungskommando 25 appears on many of the Focke Wulf Gmbh reports and E. St. Rechlin reports. I am interested in learning more about this testing unit.

Anyone have specific information on this unit? Leaders, pilots, history etc...

All the best,

Crumpp

I may have some scattered bits from T321, but it will take some time to dig to it and it will not be much

Re: Any information on E'Kommando 25?

Thanks! Very interesting. From the links above I gather they did more than simply test under controlled conditions. Thanks Pawel, I look forward to seeing what you can dig up.

Reason I ask is that some reports in Focke Wulf Gmbh and BMW refer to the experience of E'Kommando 25 handling such things as intital testing and endurance trials. Concurrently though there is operational experience being reported by JG54 on the design changes as well being reported to BMW engineers in conferences with the Geschwader pilots. JG54's reports do not appear until shortly after initial testing and during the conduct of endurance trials by E'Kommando 25.

The flight scheduale from the endurance trials originates from E'Kommando 25, however. The flights are rather numerous and took several months to complete.

The design changes and instructions appear in the Flugzeug-Handbuch before the completion of the endurance trials with subsequent editions modifying the initial instructions based on endurance/operational trial experience.

All the best,

Crumpp
