Hello Brian,
If at all possible these days . Maybe if you could get hold of the following books. The History of RAF Marine Craft 1918 - 1986, by Geoffrey D,Pilborough. 5 volumes. Vol 1 - 1918 - 1939 Vol 2 - 1939 - 1945 Vol 3 - 1946 - 1959 Vol 4 - High Speed Launch 100(A) Vol 5 - The 200 Class Seaplane Tenders(B). Also the National Archives AIR 29 series may help, AIR29/441, 446 448, 449, 450, 452, 893, 894, 903, 910, 915, 917, 920, 950, and others. https://discovery.nationalarchives.g...a+Rescue+Units Alex Last edited by Alex Smart; 4th April 2023 at 19:17. |

Re: RAF ASR launches HSL107, 128, 129 Malta logbooks
Hello,
Good start is https://www.maltaaviationmuseum.com/...air-sea-rescue There are small pictures of HSL107 and Whaleback HSL128 with their scoreboards and also a pdf listing dates, names, types of aircraft etc. Also there is a Jackson's book At IWM there are some photos of HSL107 https://www.iwm.org.uk/collections/i...ject/205209009 '100' Class High Speed Launch HSL 107 of the RAF Air/Sea Rescue Unit, Malta, returns to its base at Kalafrana following a rescue call in the Mediterranean. HSL 107 was the longest-serving of the launches operated by the Malta A/SR Unit and was credited with 86 live rescues to the end of 1944. Also IWM ME(RAF) 7262 with 50 scoreboard and IWM CM 5045 Zoran |

Re: RAF ASR launches HSL107, 128, 129 Malta logbooks
Call out by Frederick Galea is by far the most comprehensive book.
Hard to find now. It's being updated. 107s log book is lost. Hope this helps. Chris |
