I have included the links as won these WW2 RAF photos on eBay.

Danny-with nothing on the back (?) the chances are more than very slim and I would say you have paid wall over the odds for them. However, just seen an Me 210 photo (nothing special, no date etc etc) go for 390 Euros...............

Danny - A very long shot, but it might be worth posting the photo taken in Wolverhampton on the Wolverhampton and the Black Country (past and present) Facebook page. Of course, it may not have been his home town and he was just stationed locally. Likewise the Stamford one, although the local FB homepage is not specifically a historical one.

A comment if I may. There is no controlling prices paid on eBay. None. As a collectibles dealer told me: "It's worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it." Full stop.
I find it amusing every time I see the "you obviously paid to much" comment online. Unlike comic books, there is no official price guide for Luftwaffe or Allied photos from the war. |

Agreed but if you are happy to pay top dollar for some for your personal collection, so be it. However, if you are after photos for writing projects, the difference between top dollar and what publishers pay invariably makes it uneconomic/not worth the effort

As someone who works in publishing, I completely understand. Thank you Chris.
