Langer Errata-December 1, 1942
The listing in MAW 3 on page 166,December 1,1942 for a victory over a Spitfire by Hans Langer is incorrect. The listing should be for a Lt. Herbert Langer who flew for II/JG-53. The real Hans Langer never appears to have achieved officer rank and flew exclusively for II/JG-51. Also he survived the war, whereas Herbert Langer was KIA in September 1943.
Hans Langer is listed with 47 Victories in Luftwaffe-Officers List, which seems kind of high. The book "Jadgeschwader Molders" (Aders/Held) list him 10 Victories, which seems more reasonable.
