74 Wing RAAF, 10 August 1943 (or as early as 1st August) Formed under 9 Group, to administer non works/RDF units/detachments in Port Moresby area formerly administered by 73 Wing 20 October 1944 renamed 74 (Composite) Wing 15 August 1945 disbanded at Port Moresby Some units mentioned, 1 Malaria Control Unit, 1 Wireless Unit, 21 Medical Clearing Station, 7 Squadron, 24 Squadron, 33 Squadron, 4 Fighter Sector, 40 Squadron, 9 Communications Unit |
