Cocos Islands: what operations?
I'm intererested in operations which were flown from the Cocos Islands by B-24s and others (P-51s ?).
Wikipedia has just a little bit http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cocos_%...ing%29_Islands Did the Japanese never interfere? thx, P.

It was RAF B-24s, so no P-51s. The islands were defended by Spitfire Mk.VIIIs. There was no Japanese interference with the islands' occupation or operation - difficult to imagine what they had in theatre that could have interfered.
