Hudson N7272 224 Sqn
Does anyone have any information on Hudson N7272 of the 224 Sqn that crashed into Loch Lomond Scotland on the 20 Nov 1940.
The aircraft was flown by P/O Atkinson and two of his crew were killed. It said it was damaged by enemy fire but also reported as damaged by Flak. Drew Davidson |

Re: Hudson N7272 224 Sqn
Peter,
Thank you for your reply and information. In John Foreman's "BOB the forgotten years" he has it damaged by enemy fire, crashing into Loch Lomond with two of the crew killed. Would there be 6 of a crew on Hudsons? rgds Drew |

Seems from this spec the Hudson could carry a crew of six.

Again thank you for that information, had a quick look on the net but could not find anything. Given that they crashed near Luss, I will have a look locally and see if there are any headstones for the lost crew. rgds Drew |
