Do 17 photograph, Lw in Focus 7/2005
Hello all, there is Do 17 (2436) foto in Lw. in Focus 7/2005.
Interesting detail is that the bombsight is missing - a typical feature of Do 17U subtype comparing to 'plain' Do 17Z. Besides, known Do 17U W.Nr. are 2427, 2428, 2429 not far from 2436 and it is known that 15 a/c of the subtype were manufactured. Here are a few things that I found, not sure how accurate.
From a list sent to me, Do17 U-1 25+C92, 25+F03 Order of Battle 10.5.40 II/KG77 DO 17U Maj. Behrendt, 1 on strength. Wekusta 51 Langendiebach, ObLt Nissen, DO 17U, 1 on strength. Stab KG76 Nidda, Ob Frohlich, DO 17U, 1 on strength. Stab KG2 Ansbach, Ob Fink, DO 17U, 1 on strength. Regards, Mike

Another Do 17U would be 32+A0K aka 5K+AA of Stabsstaffel K.G. 3
