STG3 loss

I have a Wehrpas to Leutnant Karl Friedrich Jenning who served with Stab II./ Sturzkampfgeschwader 3. He is indicated as missing over Tunisia on 13 December 42. Does anyone have a Wk Nummer for this AC and/or the name of his WO?

Many thanks

Jeremy

Re: STG3 loss

In my notes from the Gen. Qu. Mstr, 4 january 1943, I see the following:

14 december 1942
II./StG 3

bei Medjez El Bab

Kurierfahrt mit Kfz

unbekannt (reason of the loss)

Lt. Jenning Karl missing
Obgfr. Bachman Kurt missing (he was part of the Bodenpersonal)

Regards

Gianandrea

Re: STG3 loss

Remi/Gianandrea,

Thanks for your assistance. Interesting that it was not combat related (flying wise that is). Unfortunately the Wehrpas does not elaborate on the incident other than indicating "vermisst".

Thanks again.
