3355.1 / 3116.5 Aluminum suitcase

Hello,

I am a new member to this post with an unusual find. My grandfather passed away and I found an aluminum suitcase in his garage. Numbers painted are: 3355.1 and 3116.5. My research shows these to be aluminum alloys. I have seen a picture from a FW 190 shot down over Normandy with 3116.5 on an inspection panel. However the "3" is different from the ones in my suitcase.

What does the AWS or ASM stand for?
