Oxsygen system in junker 52

Hello,a friend of me have a part found in a crashed Junker 52 in Norway, his father picked up this item the first days after the crash in 1941.The part is a aluminium plate with a oksygen bottle, regulator, pressure gauge and a type filter. On the ID plate i find this information :
Tragbarer Hohenatmer
Bauart Auer
Gerat 10-68B-1
FL 30456-21

Its brobably for use in high altitudes, but was this normaly used as a standard equippment in Ju 52 ? The 52 was a typical low altitude aircraft and i tought breathing oxsygen system it was most common on fighters and bomber aircrafts.

Best regards from Norway
