Lt Kloss

Hi Iam looking for some help I recently bought a set of documents to a Lt Sigismund Kloss of 3.JG/77. but I am unable to find any trace of him in any records,I would appriciate any assisstance in tracing this pilot.Thanks in Advance.

As you know Steven, he does not appear to be listed in Herr Prien's work on JG 77. If he was a member that tranferred to JG 5, then he does not appear in Herr Gerbig's work either!

The only Kloss I can find that flew 109s is Fw. Werner Kloss from JG 3. He had 18 claims.

Hello John,

Fw Werner Kloss, ErkM 57011/32, belonged to 5./JG3 and crashed on 18th October 1943 with Bf.109G-5 Schwarze 7, Werknr 15959 into the IJsselmeer, The Netherlands.

His body was picked up by fishing men on 29th June 1944 near Enkhuizen and buried on 2nd July 1944 on the cemetery of Bergen. He now rests at Ysselsteyn, plot CL, Row IV, grave 101.

Hello all,

Last rank of Werner Kloß (this is the correct spelling instead of ss at the end of his name) was Oberfeldwebel. To my knowledge Ofw Werner Kloß did not fly in 3./JG 77.
