610 Sqn Spitfire roundels

Hello all,

I have a very nice 1/48 Tamiya model of a Spitfire I which I am looking at building as a 610 Sqn mount from June 1940. Interestingly Tamiya have supplied wing roundels which are of a smaller diameter than standard. I have pictures of 602 Sqn Spitfires from this period with smaller wing roundels but none of 610 with such a size.

Can anyone confirm the wing roundel size of 610's Spits at this time, and if indeed they were of a smaller diameter?

TIA

Tim.

Hi Amrit,

I had a squizz at the images from that page but still cannot make out whether the roundels from the June/July 1940 period (this is when they were carrying the large - modified 35'' fuselage roundels) were standard or smaller size. There only appeared to be 2 or 3 images from this period and none that I could see that showed top wing roundel sizes.

Tim.
