RAF contra CR.42

Hi,

Can someone inform me who pilots from the 46, 257 and 603 Sqn claimed Italian CR.42s during two fights on 11 and 23 November 1940 please ?

Regards,
Michal

Re: RAF contra CR.42

11 Nov:

46: Gaunce(2 dest, 1 prob), Mrazek (2 dest), Burnett (1 prob)
257: Blatchford (2 dam), Lucas (1 dest), Barnes (1 prob)
603: Nil
Presume you have 41 Sqn?

23 Nov:

603 (only): Winskill (2 dest), Darling (2 dest), Berry (1 dest), MacNamara (1 dest), Pinckney (1 dest), Boulter (1 dest), Scott Malden (2 dam).

Guess you are not interested in the 263 Sqn photos you contacted me about?

Re: RAF contra CR.42

Dear Chris,

Thank you for the list. I was thinking No.41 Sqn did not catch Regia Aeronautica that day. Am I in mistake and member(s) claimed victory ?
I have sent you e-mail regarding Whirlwinds just the day when you noted here you have the 263 Sqn photographs. It did not arrive ? Unfortunately no reply in my box.

Regards,
Michal

Re: RAF contra CR.42

Hello Michal,

As Rob has pointed out, I have some sligthly different claims compared to Chris on both combats on my site (http://surfcity.kund.dalnet.se/falco_bob.htm).

Best wishes/Håkan

Hi,
the mentioned pilt Mrazek was karel Mrazek, a Czech RAF pilot. Would you like to have more info about him?

Re: RAF contra CR.42

Zdravím,

Thanks for info. No, Karel Mrazek, who lived not far from my home is almost fully covered by info in my database.
