Hersteller codes

Greetings,

Anyone out there know the three letter Hersteller code for Klöckner Hamburg. They were producers of BMW 801 aircraft engines?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Re: Hersteller codes

Hi Steve; Hope you are doing well. I have two listings for Klöckner, one at Hagen-Haspe coded 'at'. The other one is Klöckner Eisenhandel at Mannheim coded 'nrr'.
cheers,
Jerry

Re: Hersteller codes

Hello Steve,
I found jpm is some PRO documents. I checked Pawlas, and he lists it as: Klöckner Flugmotorenbau G.m.b.H., Hamburg 27, Andreas-Meyer-Str. 47.

Pawlas lists nrr as: Klöckner Eisenhandel G.m.b.H., Mannheim.
And at as: Klöckner-Werke A.-G., Abt. Hasper Eisenu. Stahlwwerk, Hagen-Haspe
Hope this helps,
Dennis

That sure looks to be the one. I also found these two entries in Pawlas before I got punchy from page scanning:
atl = Klöckner-Humboldt-Deutz A.-G., Ulm a. D.
oqw = Klöckner-Werke A.-G., Werk Quint, Quint b/Trier
Does a reverse lookup, sorted by manufacturer name, exist anywhere?

Regards,

Re: Hersteller codes

Jerry, Dennis and Leon,

Thank you for your kind replies. In my quest to refine my Luftwaffe aircraft engine databases, I made an error and boy is my face red. I forgot that the Hersteller codes are listed alphabetically by the three-letter codes and not by the company. I certainly never intended to make you guys go blind. Leon has a great thought though: any reverse listings would indeed be a great help.

I might as well take this opportunity to report my progress on my engine database files.

BMW 801 250 entries
DB 605 241 entries
Jumo 213 110 entries

I have others for the DB 601, DB 603, Jumo 211, along with a few other lesser engines, but I have been concentrating on the first three. Hopefully, I will find the time add more data soon.
