J.J. Jefferies - Latimer

Hello!

I have two question about this pilot.

Does know somebody where and when he was born?
In Foreman's book FC victory claim is that he claimed one Do 215 probably shot down on 18.09.1940 in 14.15. Are some details? (Latimer was flight commander in 310. squadon this time)

Thanks!
Best wishes!
Michal

Hi Michal

Try posting the query over on rafcommands. There are a couple of people who have copies of "Men of the Battle of Britain" who may be able to do a look-up:

Or if you like, I could post the query for you.

Re: J.J. Jefferies - Latimer

Hi Bruce,

I have Aces High, but neither there or in any czech books are not infos about his pr-war life. And the claim mentioned above I found only in Foreman's book.
Latimer never served with 312. squadron. From 31.12.1940 he was commanding officer of 310. squadron and then he took command of 1455 Turbinlite Flight.

Regards

Michal
