18/19 July 44 RAF vs JG301 and I./SKG 10 ?

18/19 July 1944 : RAF bombers raid on railyards of REVIGNY, East of France.
About 20 Lancasters losses ( milk run ??..)
I wonder if during this raid JG301 and I/SGK 10 were involved ?
If yes, any ideas of losses and claims for these units?
thanks.

No claims or losses for I/SKG 10; why do you think this unit was involved?

Hi.

Strangely I./J.G.301 seems not to have reported this loss to GenQu6Abt, or it has been filed under another unit...

Regards,

18/19 July 1944

Hi guys

According to Wood's list, all the claims made that night were by Nachtjagd units - there are none listed as made by either JG 301 nor SKG 10. Units that made claims that night included: I./NJG 1, Stab, I. and II./NJG 2, Stab, I. and IV./NJG 3, I., II. and III./NJG 4 and I. and III./NJG 5. Perhaps someone with more knowledge of the Nachtjagd or Bomber Command can add to this?

Horrido!

Leo

Hi,
Parts of JG 301 deployed to France on 6 June 1944 and I./SKG 10 had been involved in Wilde Sau operations throughout the spring and early summer. Please see:

Thanks for replies and useful link.
Yes, I knew the crash of Hengfer JG301 and there are some RAF witness about FW190 during this night...so I am wondering.
Please note that the village is Changy not Changry ( N. Vitry le Francois) and that Hengfer belly landed and was attacked by local resistance , he was wounded and the frenchmen stollen weapons and radio of the plane.
regards

From what I can see, I/SKG 10 were no longer on Wilde Sau ops but committed totally to air interdiction post-6 Jun

Chis,
It would be helpful if you more precisely identified "from what I can see". According to Tony Woods list, which I have narrowed down here:

http://www.gyges.dk/Claims%202.pdf
(a link on the page I provided earlier), SKG 10 had claims in both June and July clearly related to Wilde sau ops.

As indicated in your list, May yes, June yes but I have nothing in July. Why have you listed II/KG 51? They were flying Me 410s and I/SKG 10 did not become III/KG 51 until Aug 44. 'From what I can see'= my records!
