Need info on history and references for Bf109E-4 WNr 2804

Hello,

I need to know the service career and disposition of Bf109E-4 WNr.2804, flown during Aug-Sept (and maybe later) by Maj. Werner Mölders of Stab./JG51. Does anyone know its date of manufacture, date it was assigned to Stab./JG51 and what happened to it thereafter? Is there any record of it being subsequently damaged while it was serving with Stab./JG51?

Any help would be appreciated.

Regards,

Jim,

Thanx. Exactly what I needed to know. Strange that one of Werner Mölders' E-4s would be transferred to II./JG54. You'd think that if it were surplus to the needs of Stab/JG51 that it would have gone to some other unit within that Geschwader, but obviously it didn't.
