Re: Ludwig Nitsch 38 "kills"...?
Stig
These reports were issued for upper HQ's, not for troops. As subordinated Army HQ's made their daily reports to Heeresgruppe so liasion officers of Luftwaffe (and Kriegsmarine) formations in the given area made daily reports advising it of activities of their branches of Wehrmacht. They are brief summaries of what Lfl. reported to OKL, not propaganda or morale boosters In the case of Nitsch, if his Soldbuch survives, it will give the answer. Also the answer could be found in the interrogation report by Swedish Air Force. If Nitsch had any awards (and it means he had confirmed aerial victories), there must be mention of them during his interrogation and evaluation of his papers
