Re: russian archieves search-luftwaffe

I think chances of obtaining LW documents from TsAMO by now are dismal. Those documents exist to more or less extent, but they are kept "top secret" even for the majority of Russian researchers. I worked in military archive for two years and found only bruises of LW documents, that were translated into russian for intell. purposes. The major stake of LW documents supposedly can be found in secret so-called "500 fund". However, the content of it is not known in details.

Could you please decipher the details of moving LW documents to Russia in 1947, if there are any?

BR,
Nikita

Re: russian archieves search-luftwaffe

hello Nikita,
We are bussy to rebuild a stuka we have already everything from hafner archieves in germany (known in the world of restorers)we made several contacts with archieves to obtain technical drawings or blueprints or factory pictures.
we were only able to get some fuselage and wing repairs documents even without mesurements ...
factory prints we received but little.
in chech republic they had plans etc but the floods a few years ago demolished those documents that were stored underground so......
Weser werke was during the war a factory were the germans made junkers stuka ju 87 the Russian army invated that area and obliged workers to restart production in certain fields ( due to military russian interests)
In 1947 weser werke was compleetly broken down and moved to russia inclusiv workforce and german engineers like Prof. Baats.
They were allowed to bring their family to russia and stayed there in garded camps .they were threated not like prisonners but in a more decent way coz the russians were interested in their knowledge.
Prof. Baats came to germany back or was released in 1955 or 1953.
I hav stuka doc with russian tekst and markings on it so ...
i hope this would be of any meaning for you.
